Program Overview
The Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Political Science is a three-year advanced research degree designed to develop highly skilled scholars, researchers, and policy experts in the field of political science. Eligibility
Applicants must have 18 years of education (MS/MPhil or equivalent) in Political Science or a related discipline from an HEC-recognized university with a minimum CGPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 (semester system) or First Division (annual system); candidates with equivalent degrees such as MBA may be required to complete pre-requisite courses as prescribed by the Doctoral Committee along with an HEC Equivalence Certificate where applicable, while applicants with an irrelevant academic background must complete 9–12 credit hours of deficiency courses as approved by the Doctoral Committee.
