drft School of Fashion
A living fashion ecosystem built around three meanings. drift for exploration, draft for making, shift for moving from student to practitioner. Bold, typographically-strong and unmistakably contemporary.

Five reasons this school exists.
- 01
Make it, don’t sketch it
One finished, wearable garment from your first year.
- 02
Show it in public
An annual runway with buyers, press and industry in the room.
- 03
Sell it
A student-run label with costing, stock and a till.
- 04
Work digitally
3D garments and virtual sampling, the way the industry now works.
- 05
Take it further
The only postgraduate fashion title of its kind in Pakistan.
Fashion is taught as portfolio work, and it stops at the portfolio.
Pakistan has extraordinary craft and a garment industry the world buys from — and almost no route that takes a young designer from sketch to a label people can actually purchase.
drft was built to carry the work past that point — to a collection shown in public, priced, produced and sold under a student’s own name.
The drft Studio
Not a classroom with sewing machines at the back. Six rooms that research, cut, photograph, build, exhibit and sell — with a student-run label at the end of the corridor.
Design & pattern studios
Where drift becomes draft.
Research, silhouette and colour resolved into a pattern that actually works on a body.
The digital fashion lab
3D and virtual sampling.
The part of the industry that decided fabric is too expensive to waste on a first guess.
Photography & styling set
Lights and a seamless.
Styling, art direction and the shoot that decides whether the work is ever seen.
The maker workshop
Machines and finishing.
Construction, textile treatment and the unglamorous room where a good idea becomes a good garment.
Exhibition & show space
The runway and the gallery.
Casting, run of show, lighting, and the moment the work stops being yours alone.
The merchandise corner
The student-run label.
Costing, pricing, small-batch production, stock and the till — a real shop, not a stall.
Six steps, from research to release
Every collection moves through the same cycle — and ends in public, priced.

- 06Release
What you will have released, by when.
First garment
One finished, wearable piece — patterned, cut, constructed and photographed by you.
The campus capsule
A small collection costed with skm. and shot with ARY, sold at the merchandise corner.
The digital collection
A full 3D and virtual-sample collection, with a sustainability review of every material.
The annual show
A public runway with buyers, press and industry in the room — and a label with your name on it.
A release record, not a folder of things that were never made.
Leave with a collection shown in public, pieces produced, units sold and the margin they returned.
Sketch, cut, stitch, style, shoot, show, sell.
An editorial, visual studio culture where process matters as much as the final garment. Walls of sketches, swatches, references, pattern iterations and student work.
Three pillars
drift. Exploration
Students explore identity, culture, trend, colour, silhouette and story.
draft. Disciplined making

Drift. Draft. Shift.
Three words live inside four letters. Drift — identity, culture, colour, silhouette. Draft — pattern, textile, construction, the digital garment. Shift — student to practitioner, on a runway with buyers watching.
Every student passes through all three, in that order.
Other schools graduate a portfolio. drft graduates a release record.
Published openly — because a collection nobody bought is a sketch with better photography.
